Sent mine on 30th November, they received it the next day and sent it back 03/12 estimated delivery date 08/12. Looks like they're simply replacing consoles with new ones rather than repairing them. A lot of people on the xbox forums have had the same thing. |

LOL The only reason is that I truly have given up with it - I will do it I am sure in the new year, but it can just lie by the side of the telly now and realise what it is missing !!!! |

surely the more money you pay the more reliable it should be? that means ps3 SHOULD be more reliable than xbox, doesnt make it a better console, ive had problems with my xbox's over the years but my ps3 doesnt get used enough to even get close to failing. no console is "better" than any other its just about your personal preference, its all opinion based. gotta love the "fan boy" wars tho :LMAO: |

knocked the nail on the head there spud. I personally love my Elite. However whenever i go round my mates he has a PS3 and i loathe the controllers. make my hands ache after a while. But hey, each to their own. **thumbup |

I completley agree, its just frustrating that as soon as you argue your point of veiw with someone else, no matter how valid, its just labelled as fanyboyism. |

Neither is better. Except the PS3 controller is just way too small. |

The current controller on the 360 is the best console controller out there, the old Xbox one was hideous, designed for giants |

I am back on the 360 now and it is still just marvellous. Bought a new Elite to try and get some life out of it. Also got my old one fixed because i heard about a bloke who fixes them for you. He is just superb. Type in xbox repairs redditch and he is the top one - he just works out of his house - I phoned him up, explained about the RROD, dropped it off at 3.00pm and picked it up fixed and working perfectly with a one year guarantee from him for 30 quid two hours later - how great is that ???????? SO now I have 2 xbox's  , but with my experience, just waiting for one to break !! It is a marvellous bit of kit though - as is the PS3, and i agree that the 360 controllers are just the best. Currently playing Darksiders (which IMO is just fantastic), Infamous, Bioshock 2 on PS3 with GoW 3 and Heavy Rain to start and on Elite I am about to start Juarez, and actually play and finish from the start again Gears 2, Halo3, Fable 2 and Batman - bring it on - gaming is great !!! **thumbup |

Brought a PS3 before Christmas for myself and it broke the other day already, ive barely even used the thing and when I now turn it on it just doesnt load and then turns off. Im only on my second Xbox 360 and the first one I broke myself (Dropped it while moving it across rooms). Microsoft still fixed it for free! Plus I got it back within about 9 or 10 days. Does anyone know how id go about repairing or sending off my PS3? |

I've had mine since launch and only ever had the date problem with the leap year, otherwise nothing been wrong, brother has had his xbox go back to microsoft 3 times. Considering they had fixed it so many times you would think they would make sure its ok then. It broke again the other day so he's had a ps3 (Y) |

I have both and there is no difference from either, they both break down the games are the same and there both made in sweat shops in some eastern country. The only reason I got both was because you can get some games I like on one console. |

Is the warranty 3 years? Xbox's normally have the red ring within a year of buying the console. Average gamer spending an hour a day. (really not me, i tend to binge at weekends for 4 hours!) I have had my xbox for nearly two years, and i'm hoping it will break soon, so i can get it fixed within warranty! |

I've had mine 2 years and no problems what so ever apart from the leap year thing which was a one day inconvenience but who really cares about that. It will be in warranty so just take it back. |
